Chesed Defined & Explained

When Sundown and Jonathan were brainstorming names for the farm the goal was to find a word that embodies healthy, meaningful relationships. Relationships between people, our food, our community, and the ecosystem we live in. On day three, Jonathan came to the conversation with a suggestion. A word that holds a long and deep significance in his life, Chesed. Chesed is an ancient Hebrew word that is challenging to completely translate into English.

We have found these resources from the Bible Project that help understand the rich definition of the Hebrew word “Chesed”. The first is a five-minute video.
