UpFlip captures the business journey of Chesed Farms

Paul and the UpFlip team visited Walla Walla on opening day of the Downtown Walla Walla Farmer’s market. On that day, they joined Sundown to show how Chesed Farms has become a successful mushroom farm. There was lots of discussion as they traveled from the farmer’s market to the Walla Walla Pasta Factory, and then the production facility for Chesed Farms. This video distilled the conversations from the day into some key points one might consider in starting up their own mushroom growing operation.

One of those points is the importance and impact of collaboration. This is central to how Chesed Farms operates, and we owe much of our success from the collaborations we have with other local food producers and entrepreneurs. Here is a list of the local food businesses mentioned in this video:

All Things Artisan/Vault-19 - All Things Artisan process and package our freeze-dried products.

Hummingbird Tea - Create a wonderful Green Tea Matcha mixed with our Lion’s Mane powder.

Walla Walla Pasta Factory - The first, and longest running restaurant to feature our mushrooms!

D’Olivio - Vinegar and oil used in the mushroom crostini Paul and Sundown enjoyed at the Walla Walla Pasta Factory.

We would also like to highlight and list the other mushroom growers that generously share their knowledge and information making it possible for Chesed Farms to exist.
